Any skittering in the walls? Kind of like rats? SAM What about cold spots? Feel any sudden drops in temperature? You guys are LARPing, aren't you?

DEAN Excuse me? SAM Fans of what? And pretty hardcore, too. Like those guys from the books. What are they called? What are their names? Steve and Dirk? Uh, Sal and Dane? SAM Sam and Dean? DEAN You're saying this is a book? It was a series. Didn't sell a lot of copies, though. Kind of had more of an underground cult following. Let's see. An altered title sequence follows, with illustrations from the book that include Romance-novel-style illustrations of SAM, DEAN, and other characters and ending with the title card:.

You know — "Doctor Sexy, M. SAM Right. Well, we're hoping that our article can DEAN No, no, no, no. God, no. I mean, why — why would you want to do that? You know, it's, uh, such a complete series, what with Dean going to hell and all. That was one of my favorite ones, because Dean was so And Sam I mean, the best parts are when they'd cry.

You know, like in — In "Heart," when Sam had to kill Madison, the first woman since Jessica he really loved. And in "Home," when Dean had to call John and ask him for help. DEAN Real men? How often do you cry like that, hmm?

DEAN Lady, this whole thing is funny. DEAN Oh, trust me. We, uh SAM No! No, no, no. SAM We — We are actually, um You've read the books? DEAN Cover to cover. SAM Um-hmm. SAM That's my — Uh SAM One DEAN It's a tie. What do you want to know? SAM We just want to talk to him. You know, get the "Supernatural" story in his own words. SAM Please. Like I said — we are, um The woman licks her lips. You know what? I got one, too. DEAN Whoa. You are a fan.

When you publish a novel, people want to know who your influences are, just as a low-level criminal is told to cough up the names of the masterminds who actually dreamed up the scheme that got him taken in. In my case, I have ready answers. So I have two big names to yield to interrogators. Or at least not telling the whole truth. On the next page, we discover that he has done what no fictional character should do—looked at his own cover, which makes him realize he is in this book and is therefore in trouble.

It was written by Jon Stone and illustrated by Mike Smollin. In this book, Grover is horrified to learn that there is a monster at the end of the book and begs the reader not to finish it, so as to avoid the monster. He uses several methods to try and keep the reader from progressing, including tying the pages shut and cementing them together with bricks. After each page is turned, the results of the failed effort is shown, and Grover tries a new method to keep the reader from turning yet another page. To the amusement and relief of Grover, the monster at the end of the book turns out to be none other than himself, leaving the latter very embarrassed over what he has just gone through.
