There are plenty of data science books around but after buying a few and skimming through them, most seem to be designed around the beginner, and don't go as in-depth as I would like. There are also other non-data science-related books that I've still found to be helpful on the job, so I've come here to ask you great people what books you've used to hone your craft.

A common thread among the interviews is that a good data scientist must go beyond understanding the data and building excellent, reliable models, communicating effectively the results and their meanings to others not involved in the analytical process, particularly the decision makers.
In fact, as several of them mentioned, the ability to craft an engaging story around the implications of one's analysis is perhaps one of the most difficult and underrated skills for data practitioners.
In addition, I especially like the analogy John Foreman Chief Scientist at MailChimp gave when he compared outstanding data scientists to Renaissance figures, as they communicate and facilitate changes just as deftly as they wrangle unstructured, messy data. There are much more insights on what data science jobs are really like on the ground and how to grow in this field in the book, and I would encourage anyone who are interested in data science to take a look.

There were between 3 and 5 which were really boring around the middle of the book, but the second half has more interesting scenarios.
